How is this salon different from other grooming facilities?
The traditional grooming salon model is commission based and provides a very modest amount of groomers a livable wage. Original Grooming is a cowork salon for groomers interested in more autonomy in their work. Every groomer is in business for themselves. They create their own schedule, book their appointments, and set their own prices. Think of Original Grooming as many private grooming salons all in one location. At our grooming facility, groomers and dogs alike enjoy the collaborative work environment. We believe our community benefits from working and playing together.
Do I need to book an appointment in advance?
Yes, grooming services require an appointment. Our salons use Vagaro* or Moego** booking software so that you may schedule, edit, or view appointment(s) at your convenience. All appointments booked through Vagaro receive and email and/or text when booked and a reminder 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Same day appointments are possible for some groomers but you will still need to request an appointment through either booking software.

What is the wait list?
For Vagaro users, the wait list is a list of clients who wish to be contacted in the event of a cancellation. Adding yourself to the waiting list on Vagaro only ensures you may be contacted in the event of a cancellation. To secure an appointment request with your desired day and time; it’s best to book an appointment.
What vaccinations do you require?
In accordance to California law all pets must be current on their rabies vaccinations. OG highly recommends all the 4 core vaccines (canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies). It is advised to wait at least 48 hours after any vaccinations before grooming services are performed.
How long can I expect the groom to take?
You can’t rush art.
Dependent on: each individual groomer, services requested, your dog’s: size, breed, temperament, and if your groomer’s client(s) arrive on time to their appointments. approximately: 3-4.5 hours
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel your appointment/reschedule with your groomer as soon as possible. We live in the Golden state and apply the golden rule of treating others how we want to be treated. We wouldn’t waste your time, please don’t waste ours.
Please cancel/reschedule your appointment if you or your dog have symptoms of illness
*Your groomer may exercise their own discretion to cancel the appointment if you are more than 30 minutes late to your appointment.
